As senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for UPS, Alan Gershenhorn directs electronic commerce, customer relationship management, customer service, sales, marketing research, pricing and product development. Under his direction, UPS is focused on deepening customer relationships through an expanded offering of technology-based services and solutions. Gershenhorn is also a member of the UPS Management Committee, which is responsible for day-to-day management of the company. Prior to his current position, Gershenhorn served as president of UPS International where he was responsible for all international package, freight forwarding and logistics businesses. A native of Long Island, N.Y., Gershenhorn began his UPS career in Houston in 1979 as a part-time package handler. He has held various U.S. and international positions of increasing responsibility in operations, industrial engineering, freight forwarding, logistics, brokerage, marketing, strategy and retail services. After several assignments in Texas, Gershenhorn joined the company’s International Marketing Department in 1993, where he helped launch new international services during a period of rapid global growth for UPS. Subsequent assignments took him to Europe and then to Canada, where as the country’s vice president of marketing and later as operations district manager he helped restructure UPS Canada’s operations and services, resulting in significant increases in revenues and profit. Gershenhorn has also served in several other significant leadership positions within the company. These include the UPS Corporate Strategy Group, where he was responsible for the company’s retail strategy and operations worldwide and the integration of Mail Boxes Etc. (now primarily recognized as The UPS Store); the president of UPS Canada; the president of UPS Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) Global Transportation and Shared Services; and the president of UPS SCS operations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He received a degree in finance from the University of Houston.

As president of UPS International, Dan Brutto is responsible for all international package, freight forwarding and logistics businesses, as well as U.S. international package services. He is also a member of UPS’s Management Committee, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. Most recently, Brutto was president of Global Freight Forwarding for UPS, where he was responsible for air freight network management and global brokerage services. In that role, he helped integrate multiple UPS freight forwarding units that had been acquired or built by UPS into one, global air and ocean forwarding offering. The UPS model is now unique to the industry, coupling the extensive UPS network and assets with more typical freight forwarding options to create one operating system regardless of where on the globe a customer originates a shipment. Brutto began his career with UPS in 1975 as a part time employee while attending Loyola University in Illinois. During his 32 years of UPS experience, he has held several senior management positions in operations, finance, marketing and business development. In the 1990s, he was part of the UPS international Acquisition and Financial Integration team, where he was responsible for establishing UPS operations in 35 countries across Europe and Asia including the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. He then played a significant role in the expansion of UPS capabilities beyond small package, serving as vice president and general manager for North and South America for UPS Supply Chain Solutions and later as president of Global Transportation and Shared Services for the business unit. Brutto earned undergraduate degrees in business and accounting from Loyola University, and a master of business administration degree from Keller Graduate School of Management.

As chief operating officer for UPS, David Abney directs all operations worldwide and a sophisticated global transportation network. He oversees the pick-up and delivery of 15.8 million packages and documents daily to a service area that includes every address in the United States, as well as to over 200 countries and territories. A native of Greenwood, Miss., Abney received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Delta State University. He began his UPS career in 1974 as a part-time employee loading and unloading packages. Abney has held various positions throughout his UPS career, including division manager in New Jersey and district manager in Utah. He also served as president of SonicAir®, UPS's same-day delivery service. While president of SonicAir, Abney was honored with the Professionalism in Services/Support Management Award by the International Association of Services Management for demonstrating exemplary managerial characteristics. Prior to his current position, Abney led UPS's logistical and freight operations in Canada, Latin America and the United States. He later headed up the global operations of UPS's freight forwarding and customs brokerage operations. During his tenure, Abney oversaw one of UPS's largest acquisitions in recent history - the Fritz Companies. He later served as president, UPS International. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Abney is a Trustee of The UPS Foundation, UPS's charitable arm. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Air Courier Conference of America and the U.S.-Japan Business Council. Currently, Abney serves on the Board of Directors of the Delta State University Alumni Foundation and the Air Transport Association. He is also a board member of the Southern Center for International Studies and the Coalition of Service Industries.

David Barnes is the senior vice president and chief information officer for UPS worldwide. He is a member of the Management Committee, the executive group which oversees the day-to-day operation of the company, and also chairs the UPS Information Technology Governance Committee which is responsible for the direction of UPS technology investments, ensuring they stay aligned with the company's business vision and strategy. Barnes has a long track record of customer focus since joining the company in 1977 as a part-time package loader in St. Louis, Mo. He held key positions during UPS's global expansion efforts in the late 1980s and early 1990s, combining his financial expertise and knowledge of the industry and daily business operations with a firm grasp of technology. Notably, Barnes was the lead business manager on the development of the International Shipments Processing System (ISPS), a Smithsonian award-winning software application developed internally at UPS. In 1986, Barnes was assigned to the start-up team for UPS Airlines. Formed in little more than a year with all necessary technology and systems in place, UPS Airlines is the fastest growing airline in FAA history. Barnes served as special projects manager during the airline's start-up phase and eventually became the UPS Customhouse Brokerage controller and information services manager. In 1998, Barnes assumed the role of customer information management process manager and in 2001 added additional responsibilities for the Information Services Customer Technology Portfolio. In this key position, Barnes managed virtually all UPS technology initiatives that directly touched the customer, including ups.com and a growing number of Internet-based shipping tools. In 2002, Barnes was promoted to vice president, Application Portfolios and oversaw customer technology, customer development, as well as operations and transportation applications development. Barnes obtained his bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Missouri while working as a part-time supervisor for UPS. He is a member of the United Way of America Board of Trustees.

Kurt Kuehn is the chief financial officer of UPS. He is responsible for all activities related to accounting, auditing, finance, financial planning, taxes and treasury. He also acts as a liaison to the finance, investor and analyst communities. Kuehn serves as a member of the UPS Management Committee, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. A native of South Bend, Ind., Kuehn attended Yale University and received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of the Wharton School of Business. Kuehn began his UPS career in 1977 as a delivery driver. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in operations, industrial engineering, finance and marketing. After several positions in Florida and Montana, Kuehn was named facilities planning manager in 1986. Subsequent positions included work in strategic marketing analysis and financial planning. In 1996, Kuehn was named manager of the strategic cost department, responsible for profit and loss measurement, customer pricing systems and cost analysis. He later held the position of vice president of business information analysis. In that role, Kuehn oversaw market research, strategic cost analysis, competitive analysis and data mining. Kuehn became UPS’s first vice president of investor relations in 1999 and later that year, helped take UPS public - the largest IPO of the 20th century. Prior to his current position, Kuehn served as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, where he led the company’s sales-force integration to provide a harmonized customer experience.

As senior vice president of communications and brand management, Christine M. Owens has global responsibility for Public Relations, Employee Communications, Customer Communications, Advertising and Brand Management. Owens is a member of the UPS Management Committee, that oversees the day-to-day management of the company. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native began her career at UPS in 1979 as a part-time temporary helper in Philadelphia during the holiday peak season. In 1980, she became a full-time UPS driver and was soon promoted into management as a supervisor in 1981. Owens advanced through a number of operational assignments in Metro Philadelphia prior to becoming District Manager of Northeast Texas. She later became the District Manager of the Metro Chicago District where she sat on the Governors Commission on the Status of Women in Illinois and also worked with Chicago Mayor Daly as an early adopter and implementer of the "Welfare to Work Program". Following this assignment, Owens served as the Region Manager of both the West and Southeast Regions. Prior to her current position, Owens served as UPS's vice president for transportation where she directed the coordination, planning, and training for the UPS transportation network. Owens earned a bachelor's in social science from Shippensburg University.

As senior vice president of global transportation services and labor relations, John McDevitt is responsible for managing UPS’s worldwide intermodal transportation network, which includes the world’s 9th largest airline, a surface delivery fleet of more than 100,000 vehicles, UPS Freight, rail and other distribution services. McDevitt is also a member of UPS's Management Committee, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. One of McDevitt's notable achievements was his leadership of the development of Worldport, the air hub that became the largest expansion project in UPS history and the centerpiece of the company's global distribution network. A native of Upper Darby, Pa., McDevitt spent most of his UPS career in Piscataway, N.J., where he started in 1976 working part-time while attending Rutgers University. After graduating in 1980, he was promoted to full-time management and held various assignments of increasing responsibility. In 1991, McDevitt was assigned to manage hub operations in North Florida. A year later, he was promoted to manager of the East Long Island District, then became manager of the West Long Island District two years later. McDevitt was assigned to the company's corporate office in 1996 to launch UPS's corporate compliance program. Later that year, he joined the labor relations department to work on union negotiations. In 2000, McDevitt was promoted to vice president of air operations. In addition to running the day-to-day air operation, McDevitt oversaw the development of Worldport, the air hub that became the largest expansion project in UPS history and the centerpiece of the company's global distribution network. In keeping with UPS’s long-standing commitment to the community, McDevitt served on The Library Foundation board in Louisville and the Board of the Partnership for Kentucky Schools. In April 2005, McDevitt was elected to Junior Achievement’s Worldwide Board of Directors.

As senior vice president for the Supply Chain Group, Bob Stoffel directs the non-package companies of UPS. These include UPS Supply Chain Solutions, the logistics and global freight subsidiary; UPS Capital Corporation, the company?s financial arm; UPS Consulting, and UPS Mail Innovations - all of which were created to help customers synchronize the three flows of global commerce. Stoffel also is a member of the UPS Management Committee, which oversees the day-to-day management of the company. Stoffel joined UPS in 1975 as a part-time loader while earning a bachelor?s degree in business management from the University of Illinois, Chicago. During his UPS career, Stoffel has held a number of senior management positions. He has served as both operations manager and industrial engineering manager in five different UPS operating districts and regions. Stoffel also has worked in UPS?s corporate research and development and marketing functions, where he was responsible for a new product development and a major UPS acquisition. Stoffel previously held the positions of vice president of UPS?s Quality function and UPS transportation process manager. He also served as senior vice president and COO of the UPS Logistics Group?s Service Parts Logistics, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of world-class service parts and reverse logistics solutions. Prior to his current position, Stoffel was president of UPS Supply Chain Solutions, the largest of the four business units that comprise the Supply Chain Group. He oversaw the integration of 16 acquired companies that were added in recent years to UPS Supply Chain Solutions and then led the unit to profitability.

Myron Gray is the senior vice president of U.S. operations. Gray is responsible for all U.S. operations, which include the pick-up and delivery of more than 15 million packages each day and 345,000 employees. Gray also is a member of UPS's Management Committee, the 12-person group of senior executives responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. Prior to his current role, Gray served as the president of the Americas Region, which consists of Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean Islands. He also served as an advisor to the International Service Excellence Committee. Gray began his career with UPS in 1978 as a part-time package handler in the Tennessee District while attending college. He holds a degree in Business Administration and has completed advanced management programs at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and the Yale School of Business. Gray began his management career with UPS in 1984 as an operations supervisor. He has since held various positions of increasing responsibility in industrial engineering, human resources, business development and operations before being promoted in 1995 to vice president and COO of the Southeast Texas District. Three years later, he assumed the same responsibilities in the Rocky Mountain District. In 2002, Gray was promoted to president of the Southwest Region and took over the North Central Region two years later. In January 2008, he assumed command of UPS's Americas Region. For the past 17 years, Gray has been an active participant in the Black Executive Exchange Program sponsored by the National Urban League. He also serves on the National Board of Governors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Dillard University and the Atlanta Police Foundation.

Carol B. Tomé has served as chief financial officer since May 2001 and was named executive vice president of corporate services at The Home Depot in January 2007. She provides leadership in the areas of real estate, store construction, financial services, strategic business development and growth initiatives. Her corporate finance duties include financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, financial operations, divisional finance, internal audit, investor relations, treasury and tax. Carol joined The Home Depot in 1995. Prior to that, she was vice president and treasurer of Riverwood International Corporation. Carol began her career as a commercial lender with United Bank of Denver (now Wells Fargo) and then spent several years as director of banking for the Johns-Manville Corporation. In 2003, Carol was elected to the UPS board of directors and serves as chair of the audit committee. She is an active volunteer, serving as chair of the advisory board for the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, a member of The Committee of 200 and a member of the Atlanta Botanical Garden board of directors. In January 2008, she joined the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and serves as deputy chair of the board. In November 2007, Carol was included in The Wall Street Journal’s list of 50 Women to Watch. Carol ranked No. 16 in Forbes magazine’s 2008 list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. Carol holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Denver.

Michael was the Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dana Corporation until February 2008. He joined Dana in March 2004 after 34 years with General Motors Corporation. Michael had served as President of General Motors Europe since 1998.

Rudy Markham was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director in October 2006. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered PLC and is Chairman of its Audit & Risk Committee. Rudy is an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Unilever PLC and Unilever NV. Having gained a Masters degree in Natural Sciences from Christ's College, Cambridge, Rudy went on to become a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
