They steel your car! Usinas Siderurgicas De Minas Gerais PN A. (OTC: USNZY; RIO:US6 ) is engaged in the steel industry and produces non-coated steel, galvanized sheets and coils. It serves the automotive, road machinery, piping, building and electrical/electronic and agricultural industries. It is also involved in the commercialization, import and export of raw materials, steel products and by-products. It has a production capacity of 4.7 million tons of crude steel per annum. Founded in 1970 this company is based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and employs about 19,400 people. It has revenue of about $5 billion. The company, in association with Techint Group, set up Ternium, a Luxembourg headquartered company in 2005. With a production capacity of around 11.5 million tons/year, Ternium's mills are located in Hylsamex in Mexico, Siderar in Argentina and Sidor inVenezuela. Since January 2006 Ternium has been trading its stock on the New York Stock Exchange. Usiminas holds a 14.25% ownership interest in Ternium.
