Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Irving, TX, Valor Telecommunications, LLC is a telecom provider serving rural locations in the US Southwest. The company offers local and long-distance telephone services, data service, DSL, and internet access. It has over 500,000 residential, commercial, and government access lines in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas. The company had 2005 revenue of about $506 million and employs about 1,300 people. In April 2006, it merged with ALLTEL's wireline spin-off into a new company named Wildstream Communications.
