Jerry Muelaner has served his rural community as a dedicated School Trustee and Board Chair with the Foothills School Division during the past seven years. Currently, he is a Councilor and Member-at-Large with the Kananaskis Improvement District which is based on a hybrid governance system where its members are represented on a broad range of regional boards and committees. It relies on a network of partnerships with other government departments to deliver municipal services. Mr. Muelaner has been a longstanding supporter of public education. Chrystal has worked for Waste Management since 1993, when she joined the company as an accounting clerk. In 1997, she became the Contract Compliance Coordinator for Waste Management of Orange County, later becoming Contract Compliance Manager. In this role, Chrystal works with local municipalities to ensure compliance with the California Integrated Waste Management Act, or Assembly Bill 939, the state law that requires each urisdiction in California to divert at least 50 percent of its waste away from landfills, whether through waste reduction, recycling or other means. She tracks monthly waste and recycling figures, and works with local officials to introduce new programs as necessary related to waste reduction or recycling. Chrystal's primary responsibility is for city, county and state reporting on AB 939 diversion and compliance. She also assists our cities with source reduction and recycling element (SRRE) preparation, as well as new "base year" revisions. Chrystal is Vice Chair for Community Relations for the Orange Chamber of Commerce. She has a degree in accounting from Irvine Valley College.

Dan Drewek demonstrates his commitment to outstanding service on a daily basis in his combined role as Transfer Station Manager, Navy Route Manager and Quality Control Manager. Dan joined Waste Management in 1993 as a driver, and become a Route Manager in 1995. He has twice been named Waste Management Supervisor of the Year and is licensed as a Class A Driver Instructor. While Dan's many productivity, quality control and safety responsibilities keep him busy, he still makes time to give students tours of the transfer station in El Cajon, hosting an average of 2,000 students each year. Dan resides in Lakeside with his wife, Betty, three children and their horse. Spending as much time as possible outdoors, Dan enjoys horses, camping, gardening, hunting and fishing, mountain biking and tinkering with old tractors. Donna started with Western Waste in 1988, working in sales. Donna is very involved with local organizations, including area Chambers of Commerce and Service Clubs. Donna is currently the President of the Chino Kiwanis Club, a member of the Chino Valley Chamber Board of Directors and a Past President of the Chino Chamber as well as a Past President of the Sun City/Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce. Joe Romero joined Waste Management of Orange County in May of 2006, as the Outside Sales Representative for the company's transfer stations in Orange and Irvine. As grant administrator for Waste Management of Orange County, Silvia provides monies from programs established by the California Integrated Waste Management Board and the Department of Conservation to local organizations to administer waste reduction or diversion and recycling programs. She is also the coordinator of the local used motor oil recycling program, which recycles approximately 11,000 gallons of used oil and about 5,000 filters per year through used oil collection programs, and household hazardous waste collection efforts. Silvia works with local cities and community groups on the coordination of recycling programs and community events. Silvia began her work in the waste industry in 1989 as program director for "I Love a Clean San Diego," an organization dedicated to educating the community about conserving and enhancing the environment.
