Western Refining is an independent crude oil refiner and marketer of refined products. At Dec 31 2007, Co. owned and operated four refineries with a total crude oil throughput capacity of about 234,000 barrels per day. Co.'s main operating areas encompass West Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and the Mid-Atlantic region. Co. also owns and operates stand-alone refined products terminals in Arizona and New Mexico as well as several asphalt terminals. At Dec 31 2007, Co. owned and operated 154 retail service stations and convenience stores in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico, a fleet of crude oil and finished product truck transports, and a wholesale petroleum products distributor.
